Tip of the Week #28

Printer-Friendly Format

This week's tip: There is no such thing as a perfect business! By staying focused you can ride the ups and downs of running your dance studio.

We are going to face wonderful joyous moments at points of owning and operating our business and within minutes can handle the most difficult, frustrating, and upsetting issues in the next.

My mom has this quote on her desk in the office at our studio, called Artistic Passion. It's a great quote to help you ride the waves of studio ownership.

"Let's give ourselves the courage to keep going when no one else believes in us, the vision to be able to see past the fear to where beauty lies, passion for everything we do, truth in always listening to our inner selves and possibilities because anything is possible if we really believe. Let's give ourselves the gift of responsibility so we may have a say in our lives"

This quote keeps us focused during the day-to-day challenges of angry parents, excited students, crying teachers, smiling grandparents, injured dancers, awards won, bills to pay, full classes, beautiful routines, messy waiting rooms, and hugs from returning students.

Courage. Vision. Passion. Responsibility. Anything is possible.

Keep up the great work and make this your best year yet!

P.S. We'd love to hear what how you handle the ups and downs at your dance studio! You can post comments on our Facebook Fan Page here: http://www.facebook.com/DanceStudioOwner
