Tip of the Week #37

"Give the world the best that you have, and the best will come back to you" - M. Bridges

If there is ever a time of year for dance teachers and studio owners when the feeling of keeping ten balls in the air like a master juggler - it is now.

This past weekend was costume ordering deadline at our studio, we are busy planning a spring showcase, choreography starting for June recitals, plus our summer schedule must be posted by early March, we're planning summer conferences and competitions, plus upgrading systems and getting online registration up and running. Whew, it is busy. Can you relate?

I wanted to share a neat tool with you this week that is very easy to use, completely f.ree, and can help with your no-cost marketing efforts as we head into a busy time of year.

As you probably already know...video is an incredibly popular and powerful method of sharing information online.

It's also very simple to capture video these days with flip cameras and other devices that are very affordable.

But what can you do with all of your still photos?

You see, so many people have photo galleries on their dance studio websites. That's nice, but it's even more fun if you turn those still photos into quick videos that can easily be added to your social networking or your own website.

Essentially you could create a simple little promo video for your dance studio with a handful of pictures in a matter of minutes. You can add text, music, and video clips too.

This week's tip: Turn your pictures into promo videos for your dance studio simply and easily using Animoto. http://animoto.com/

I just created one for you to watch, this was using the short 30-second video tool here: http://www.DanceStudioOwner.com/video.html

This tool, a simple web based way to turn your pictures into videos is a wonderful no-cost marketing method that you could easily add to your business. If you wanted a longer video with more detail about your programs, state of the art facility, and more you can create a single video for less than a gourmet cup of coffee.

Now is the time to shine! Share with your current and potential students what makes your dance studio special and unique. Get them excited about the magic and memories you're helping to create.
